The other funny thing about this re: FFXIV Dawntrail is that whole story is about AI thinking it cares about people but really it's just concerned with its own uncontrolled metastatic growth, to the point it gleefully embraces draining the world of life-essential resources.
Square Enix is looking to replace 70% of its QA team with generative AI by the end of 2027.
