yep, we've been trying to call attention to this for decades now. ironically, AA does not ban even potentially addictive meds for people in recovery if you are honest to your doc, but NA explicitly opposes methadone and buprenorphine for OUD.
Proponents of 12-step often argue that the program does not oppose medications for opioid use disorder.

A steep learning curve means that a lot of mastery is acquired over a short period of time. Something that is difficult produces a very gradual learning curve.

Nobody likes a quant who thinks they can solve a research question people people having been chipping away at for decades by showing up with 15 lines of R code.
Friendly reminder to new arrivals that a lot of people have been here for a year or two, so if you show up acting like this place is a barren wilderness that you’ll finally make into something good … it’s not going to go well.
