Don't jump right into it. You should back up everything important (if you haven't done that regularly already) and, ideally, you should probably test whatever OS you want to try on a spare drive, if you can.

Coming from a very long time fan of the franchise, do NOT buy PvZ: Replanted. The game is a buggy, unfinished mess that is made by a company that straight up lies to your face. The amount of selfishness, laziness, and IGNORANCE that this company shows is beyond insane.
