Definitely the closest I've been to a Cormorant today. Walking beside the river Tees at Bowesfield, I was within a few feet & it didn't stir - Initially thought it may be bird flu but it finally woke up as I was talking to it, & it flew off hastily!

Nice to see a Jay this morning at Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park. They've been scarce so far this winter.
Treecreeper x2 again and Tree Sparrow x2 plus Great Spotted Woodpecker male.
A Sparrowhawk made three visists as well in the hour I was there but didn't catch anything.
