🚨NEW: A new poll Americans’ support for Medicare For All has intensified to the point where the old attacks may no longer work.

As both parties legislate criticism of socialism, there has been a 50-point shift on a key question in just 6 years.

This is YUGE.

I keep hearing about how Dems are the party of "identity politics" and yet it's Republicans who always reach to identity for everything.

God forbid we talk about guns. There have been 452 mass shootings this year; this shooting doesn't even make the list because fewer than 4 people were shot.
It didn’t even take 6 hours.

The Democratic politician commitment to boilerplate tragedy comms is not all that different from "thoughts and prayers." This is as much a time for "they were killed while enforcing Trump's dumb racist stunts" as any school shooting is for calling out the NRA.
Violence has no place in America. Michelle and I are praying for the servicemembers shot in Washington, DC today, and send our love to their families as they enter this holiday season under the most tragic of circumstances.

Literal Republican doctrine: Trump isn’t even responsible for things he does let alone what his direct reports do but everyone in this demographic we don’t like is responsible for one random person in it.
"a single person of this demographic may have committed a crime, therefore we must punish the entire demographic" is a policy response you may recognize from fascist governments dedicated to ethnic cleansing elsewhere.

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

If your opponents are suddenly saying what you’ve been saying for decades, then you’re winning.

- corporate Dems & Pod Save Obama guys are now touting economic populism

- Trump is praising Mamdani-ism

Johnny-come-latelies may not be principled, but they *are* bending the knee.

This is winning.

So Jeffries’s is voting for this embarrassing trash even as Mamdani and AOC say they don’t support a primary challenge of him? What a bunch of fucking cowards.
The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

86 Dems joined Republicans in supporting the measure, incl. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

We are where we are because of all the Democratic Party leaders in my life like Clinton, Biden, Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi choosing to align more and more with the GOP, Zionism, and right-wing fascism over the democratic socialists in THEIR OWN PARTY who organize, fundraise, and vote for them.

The “big tent” thing was always a transparent rebuke of the growing power of the left inside the Democratic Party.

The mantra also came to embody the problems of the modern party—namely that it doesn’t actually stand for anything.

Here we have reached its logical, laughable extreme. Beyond parody.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Actor Jon Voight calls on Trump to “terminate immediately” the mayoralty of Mamdani because he’s going to turn NYC into “a forbidden place of darkness” and a “refugee shelter for the radical Muslim ideology.”
