We too often look at prices when talking about affordability & not enough at wages. As Harold Meyerson explains, had the bottom 90% earned the same share of national income they did in 1975, by 2023 they would have made an additional $79 trillion!

The $79 Trillion Heist - The American Prospect
We’re in an affordability crisis because workers aren’t being paid at the same levels they earned in the past.

The one year anniversary of Yoon's failed martial law takeover just passed and lots of untold stories came out proving that THE ONLY REASON KOREA IS STILL A FREE COUNTRY IS BECAUSE PEOPLE DISOBEYED ILLEGAL ORDERS.

The coup was over in hours because people said no.

This is a good argument for why we shouldn’t hide that we are socialists and we should loudly proclaim what that means !
870 out of 1201 (72%) surveyed Americans support ramping down harmful/unnecessary production/consumption, taxing the rich, universal basic services and guaranteed jobs, democratizing business, and ending exploitation of disadvantaged countries. As long as nobody gave a name to those policies!
I'm excited to announce this new study, published in The Lancet Planetary Health, which explores public support for degrowth and ecosocialist transformation. The findings are quite surprising.

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

Thiiiiiiissssss!

Dimon is a snake; he was one of the biggest proponents of the bank bailouts; at his core, he's always focused on his continued survival at his current position. And has been effective at doing so.

That this is his position speaks volumes.
A lot of people are pointing out that this guy is no prince among men and that JPMorgan Chase has done some stuff, and right—that’s what makes it so notable that this guy thinks there will be accountability for this stuff in the future. He believes this is the *strategic* choice. That’s revealing.

Comic-verse today; She didn't treat Kax as the 'heir to two legacies", just did her best to understand and connect with /him/. On the reverse; he did the same for her. They met and treated each other as the people they actually are, as opposed to the legacies they've inherited.

Something I and everyone else need to remember is that when CEO's brag about AI becoming more and more widespread that's referring to it being shoved into every website, not user interaction or actual revenue.
