Two of the three states with the largest population of people in the U.S. illegally are the red states of Texas and Florida. Trump, notably, does not name their cities when calling on ICE to execute more aggressive immigration raids. He does, however, name LA, Chicago and New York.

big distinction here between “does the USG need space x?” (Y) and “does space x need elon musk?” (N), and USG has many, many ways to make that second question excruciating for space x if they choose to
Trump can threaten SpaceX and Musk. But US government needs SpaceX almost more than SpaceX needs US government. DOD is addicted to SpaceX, as is NASA. Starlink is surging in profits anyway faster than SpaceX launch. Yes, Musk gets massive fed contracts. But DOD needs to get to space. So does NASA
