I am puzzled why Ezra doesn't draw the parallel to tobacco. Tobacco is very toxic to people (carcinogen) and #literally kills people. Have we banned tobacco? Are tobacco companies "legally liable" if someone dies of lung cancer from smoking 2 packs/day?

Certainly that is the case at school in which kids should not be distracted by their phones. But at home it's up to the parents. Parents who limit digital access will have happier and better adjusted kids.
