I haven't done much modelling lately, but here's something I have created. A #3dprint corridor connection to replace the #Hornby OO HST. There are still tweaks to make, but it's a good start. #modeltrains

It's not much to look at, but it's as much a part of layout building as the scenics. Putting a basic framed on hardboard for backscene.

There aren't many routes remaining where passenger trains use ferries. This is the Sicily to Milan night train aboard the ferry Messina yesterday.

The first bit of grass layering and it's almost blended with the neighbouring board. I've used the last of my 6mm fibres so I'll move onto other plant life next. #tt120 #spurtt #modelrailway #modelleisenbahn

It's designed so it can be modular, though currently it's just one layout. Picture is the full size at present, but I've got baseboards on order to extend the length by 900mm.

I haven't done a whole lot of modelling lately, so decided it was time to ballast for visible progress. #tt120 #modelrailway #spurtt #modellbahn Of course, as soon as I'd applied glue I realised I hadn't finished painting the signal trunking.

A little bit of progress on my #spurtt #tt120 #modelrailway #modelleisenbahn as the fuel siding's pipework has been fixed down and a concrete buffer stop decorated and placed. I also put signal trunking in along the running line.

A busy weekend heading up to #modelrailscotland. Some excellent layouts at the show, I wouldn't have minded a bit more non-British on display though. Bought some bushes from www.primomodels.co.uk, their trees are singularly excellent and a great price for the quality.

NCE's PowerCab lacks short circuit protection, and will happily cycle current into a short until the case melts. An external device can prevent that, as the Powercab can deliver more current than many realize.
