Reed is a perfect replacement for Davis. Pretty equivalent talent, a little less money, so at worst you save a bit of cash, but with the potential to have improved a bit on the field.

Pretty good corner group with Reed/TA/Robertson/Rakestraw.
Reed was better than Sauce Gardner at times last year. Exactly what Detroit's young secondary needed. At exactly the right price to fit with everything else.

Highly recommended. Jeff’s books and podcast are great, and this series looks really interesting.
My new YouTube series, The Press Box Chronicles, debuts today. Pretty psyched, actually. Here's the first episode: The highs, lows and wide ride of "Winning Time." www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnUo...

I guess we’re all hanging out over here today, huh?

Probably should have been spending most of our time here anyway.

First game where you really start to see the injury deficiencies on defense really start to show up.

This just isn’t the same defense it was even a few weeks ago.

Doesn’t mean it can’t get back there in the playoffs, but some work to do.

Don’t mind some adversity early. Rough offensive first drive; defense not great on their first drive.

Let’s see how we respond.

Such a perfect way to end the half. 70 yard drive. Takes all the time off the clock. Answers the GB touchdown and stretches it back to a two score lead.

Couldn’t do it any better.

Sigh. This team. Haven’t missed a beat yet, but at some point….
Zeitler now going into the blue medical tent. Was down on one knee talking to trainers.

No defenders, no problem, a sack on the first defensive play!

This NFL season is so weird. We’re 11-1 and it really feels like the whole season comes down to this game. With basically no front 7.

Really surprised the Lions attempted the FG there.

Just doesn’t seem like that fits Campbell’s DNA.

This game is getting way more interesting than it needs to be.

Pretty clear hold on that Chicago TD
November 28, 2024 at 7:36 PM
Just a perfect defensive play there. Not much you can do there.
November 28, 2024 at 7:01 PM
Lions with more first downs than the Bears have yards, this deep into the second quarter, is just nutty.
November 28, 2024 at 6:42 PM
DJ Moore with the best defensive play I’ve seen in a while to prevent that Arnold INT.
November 28, 2024 at 6:36 PM
What a catch in traffic by Patrick. Holy cow.
November 28, 2024 at 6:25 PM
Hopefully Paschal isn’t hurt seriously because man, that DL gets thin in a hurry.
November 28, 2024 at 6:18 PM
With so many games in such a short window, I guess that explains why Arnold and Moseley aren’t out there, but lack of depth is going to come back to haunt us if we aren’t careful.
November 28, 2024 at 5:56 PM
Kerby was definitely going for the INT, not the knockout blow, there, but he got the KO anyway.
November 28, 2024 at 5:53 PM
Points for effort.
Ben Johnson schemed up a pass attempt for Sewell. It didn't work out, but I thank the coordinator for trying to fulfill something I've been clamoring for...
November 28, 2024 at 5:43 PM
JaMo getting so much better at running his routes. Really impressive.
November 28, 2024 at 5:43 PM
Weird that Campbell didn’t give any hint of that when talking about E-Man during the week. Hopefully he’s ready sooner than later.
The team apparently doesn't think Moseley ready to play on D yet. Didn't hear of any medical setbacks. Only playing special teams last week was probably a bigger clue than we expected...
Some folks? I think all of us are shocked. Do you have any insight here?
November 28, 2024 at 4:17 PM
I wonder what would have happened with his career had 1) he not broken his ankle last year and 2) the Lions just said “this guy can only pass rush, but he’s ridiculously good at it, so let’s just focus on that,” but they gave him a long runway to become what they wanted, and it wasn’t happening.
The Detroit Lions are releasing DE James Houston.

Have zero idea — zero — how the official starting right at Andrews, who got both two feet and his hip down in bounds, ruled that incomplete. Thankfully it got fixed fast, but that was stupid.
November 26, 2024 at 3:24 AM
Rams just got totally screwed on the 4th down. Should have been 4th and 3, not 3rd and 13. Eagles already elected to decline the penalty. Only after the Rams decided to go for it did the Eagles change their mind. No way that should’ve been allowed.
