The Kansas Department of Transportation will start a bridge replacement on K-18 in Lincoln County on June 30 due to the old bridge's end of life. The new bridge will be longer with improved slopes. Jim and Heather Johnson of Beloit have been named the 2025 recipients of the Leadership Mitchell County Community Service Award for their extensive contributions to local events and community improvement.
