Watched a friend absolutely crush it on stage. So cool watching a choir singing mashups of pop songs and musicals

I'll write a post on this soon but I just wanted to say that with AI I like using it to do fan out style brainstorming. I think that's fascinating.

I don't like it for coding even though I have done it successfully. It feels a dull & soulless way to work. I hope that's not my future.

Ai generated commit messages are not the one since they focus on the what - and we get that from the diff.

Great commit messages succinctly explain the why. The motivations, considerations, aspirations, tribulations. It's messy human stuff which machines either miss or discard.

Dipping my toes into something new 😍

I'm a complete novice when it comes to hardware hacking, but I'm having a lot of fun figuring it all out. Amazing what these little things can do!

Gemini: that's a really good point and gets to the heart of "search term"

As an old git coming from an era where search was all about most accurate result with fewest words it's so odd to see modern approaches deliberately returning noise their output

While backing up photos from the cloud I made a spreadsheet to keep track of things. Part of my workflow involved counting photos so for fun I made a graph from it. Looks like I take around 150 photos on average and 2022 Q4 seemed like a good time! 📷

Bsky holding your data ransom until you give them more. Awful UX and data handling.

Always question the value of your data, where & how it's stored because if not, one day it can be taken away from you.

Always favour physical media and open formats over anything else.

Whenever I need advice on something I've written I always go to @jess.darn.es. If anyone is looking for a writer I can highly recommend hiring her. She'll not only smash the brief but do it in a calm and considered way!
