Big upgrade in Henrico County, VA!
Our new Bandalong Bandit Litter Trap replaces a tricky boom setup that let debris slip into the neighborhood pond. Now, cleanup is easier—and the water stays cleaner.

Did you know?
Bandalong Litter Traps are designed to work with nature—not against it. Each trap floats on the surface, rising and falling with the water level to allow fish and aquatic life to move freely underneath.
Plastic makes up nearly 39% of all litter found in our waterways and roadways. Once it enters a stream, it breaks down into microplastics that threaten fish, birds, and other wildlife. Our Bandalong and StormX Litter Traps capture trash upstream—preventing it from traveling downstream.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the 20th Annual SESWA Conference in Hilton Head!

Over 14 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year. 🌊 Most of it starts in rivers and streams. Our Bandalong Litter Traps intercept trash upstream—stopping pollution before it reaches the sea. Cleaner rivers = healthier oceans. #CleanWaterways #StopPlastic

Today, we remember.
On September 11, 2001, our nation was shaken—but not broken. We honor the lives lost, the bravery of first responders, and the resilience of all who stood together in the face of tragedy.

May we never forget. And may we always s
Healthy rivers start with informed communities. That’s why education is just as important as cleanup. These college students spent the day learning how a Bandalong Bandit™ works while removing litter that would have otherwise flowed downstream.
Today we pause to honor the hardworking people who build, maintain, and protect our communities. At Storm Water Systems, we’re especially grateful for our dedicated team—manufacturing, fabricating, and installing solutions that keep waterways clean across the country.

What can the Bandit handle?
In Dunellen, NJ, we found out.

🌧️ Recently, Green Brook Creek took on 6 inches of rain in just one hour. Flash flooding surged through the channel, carrying limbs, mud, and full trees.

Our Bandalong Bandit took the hit—and held its ground.
Our team just completed the installation of five litter traps across local waterways:
✅ 1 Bandalong 920
✅ 1 Bandalong Bandit
✅ 3 Bandalong 320s

These traps are already hard at work, capturing floating litter before it reaches the Chesapeake Bay and beyond.
Wow. This is why we do what we do!

Our team wrapped up the installation of a Bandalong 920 in Baltimore on Saturday — and look at these baskets already FILLED! Both are loaded with trash pulled straight from the water, stopping it from flowing into the Chesapeake Bay and eventually the Atlantic.
It’s more than just installing litter traps—our crew leads by example.

While setting up these new Bandalong systems, the team took time to clean up trash along the banks. Bags of litter pulled right off the shoreline, preventing it from ever reaching the water.
Baltimore, here we go!

Our crew, led by Mark Kirves, is on the ground installing FIVE litter traps across the city to stop trash before it reaches the Chesapeake and the Atlantic beyond.
Celebrating Freedom and the Beauty of American Waterways

This Independence Day, as we gather by lakes, rivers, and beaches, let’s remember what makes these places special: clean, healthy water.

Wishing everyone a safe, memorable Fourth of July.
