"But Her Emails" he cried softly
What the actual f*ck?!!!

“Members of Trump’s National Security Council, including White House national security adviser Michael Waltz, have conducted government business over personal Gmail accounts, according to documents reviewed by The Washington Post and interviews with three U.S. officials.“
Waltz and staff used Gmail for government communications, officials say
Trump’s national security adviser is trying to manage his way out of a crisis. But new revelations about his team’s operational security are piling up in the inbox.

Trumpers didn't send lawyers to a bipartisan briefing on their ship bombing campaign, apparently because there's no cogent legal argument for a military campaign against vessels posing no military threat.
Awful: Pentagon officials told lawmakers Trump now claims authority to bomb people merely “affiliated” with “narco-terrorist" groups, Rep Adam Smith tells me. But under questioning, they wouldn't say what “affiliated” even means!

Lots of fresh info in my new piece:

Should definitely be interesting to watch the Donald The Dove contingent explain away Trump's warmongering here. Good @swin24.bsky.social reporting: note voices of caution being sidelined:
“Trump has been ramping up his wars - both in his militarized crackdowns at home and his military adventures abroad.”

@swin24.bsky.social explains how Trump and his advisers are getting increasingly serious about bombing Venezuela to destabilize the Maduro regime.

NEW: More than 100 federal judges have now rejected the Trump administration’s new policy to lock up nearly everyone facing deportation — including 12 judges appointed by Trump, according to a POLITICO analysis.

Only 2 judges have sided with ICE.

As I pointed out, Trump's policy toward Venezuela is incoherent. On the one hand, he's trying to topple Maduro. On the other hand, he's allow Chevron to provide revenue for the regime. wapo.st/3X1jhE0

Obama: The weird videos of a U.S. President with a crown on his head flying a fighter jet and dumping poop on protesting citizens… All of that is designed to distract you from the fact that your situation has not gotten better.

This really illustrates Trump’s lack of interest in both history and character, and his commitment to the enshittification of everything. This looks like what people imagine a “rich” hotel bathroom is, while simultaneously echoing one of those bath fitter things on TV they do in an afternoon.
sure, you might not be able to eat or go to the doctor, but check out how nice Trump's new marble shitter is

I'm being entirely serious when I say that this is one of the core commitments of reactionary politics: demand all the privileges, refuse any of the responsibility.
Trump: "It's their fault. Everything is their fault."

Trump finally came up with a replacement for the Affordable Care Act: No healthcare.
Trump: "Obamacare has turned out to be a disaster as I've been saying for years. It can be fixed or redone. People don't get good healthcare and their premiums go up every single year. So we should change it. Obamacare is bad healthcare at a very high price."

My god, WHAT is in those Epstein files that has him so terrified of swearing in Vote Number 218?

“I will not bring the House back to session until the Congress negotiates a budget that it needs to pass” is pretty much a pure pi-r-squared circle.
Mike Johnson says he will not bring the House back in session until the government reopens

This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.

The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.
