Also…trust them to do what exactly!?
I’d agree w/ that, the Thunder game was competitive-ish until real late, the 2nd half of the Hornets game was just abysmal.
Hornets being the first Bad-Bad game?
Also, who would go as Steve McQueen from the Great Escape, you go as Steve McQueen from Bullitt. Will the kids get? Absolutely not! Will you functionally look cool? Probably!
I was thinking ab it a little further & it's also that every 8/9 months we have to learn ab a new racial or gendered (or both!) anxiety [white] conservatives have & are expected to treat them as normal & not anti-social weirdos.
It's interesting when people outside the US (or even in the US) think that we aren't inundated w/ conservative bullshit 24/7 (and sometimes, almost exclusively).
It’s super *funny* how successful & popular the first season of X-Men was (especially considering their limitations) & Fox told them to cut out the serialization crap🙃

Gargoyles had a solid fanbase when it was airing. But over thirty years later, its greatest legacy lies in it being proof that if you tell kids stories in a way that respects their ability to comprehend not only plot but sincere emotion, they'll embrace your work forever.
The "Gargoyles" animated series premiered on this day (Oct. 24) in 1994 with "Awakening, Part One!" One of the best and most influential shows of the 1990s, this fan-favorite cartoon offered-up mature and complex characters, incredible casting, and strong story-telling! #Gargoyles
Centrists basically being like Ivan Drago in Rocky III "if he dies, he dies😒"

Since your government hates you and doesn’t care if you starve despite you paying taxes into a system that should help you like SNAP…

This is where you can get food if you need it.
ESPECIALLY if you remember him at all from his first year or two.
Although I really love all the variety of elements of Dandadan (and there’s so much to this comic!), every time I peak into the fandom, I feel like they’re reading something much different than I am😞
Dandadan is about two girls who try to get their best friend to date the shy boy in another class (other stuff happens too).
It's sort of interesting how he can't change the perception of himself 50 years later & being one of the most prolific American filmmakers ever.
I kind of do this w/ my nephews
"do you know about Aang!?"
"ah yes, the sacred texts..."
"🤩"
The absolutely do not appreciate right now that I was full on adult when something like Avatar the Last Airbender came out.
Every time worf hangs out with other Klingons he embarasses them by fangirling about the Klingon version of Goku but they all think he's just a big nerd.

None have the heart to tell him that the ancient legend he is talking about is only 30 years old.

i made a helpful reference
Okay:
1. yes, more sports highlights on here
2. this is exactly why Cooper Flagg needs to regularly play w/ a point guard!
Like why have I seen this Cooper Flagg and- 1 poster all over my SL yet??
It’s bad enough they’re making this without Bernie Mac or Carl Reiner but it doesn’t even look like Soderberg’s involved.
I really loved the first season of Decode.
It’s also why headlines will only mention Damon Jones as “personal coach of LeBron James” without using his own name.

It's because white people can always see the humanity in each other and not in the POC Kirk targeted and actively harmed.
Yesterday Fresh Air did an interview with Robert Draper, who has covered Charlie Kirk. And this section on Draper's relationship with Kirk said a lot to me about modern access journalism, and the soft coverage we've seen in the wake of Kirk's death.
I was explaining this concept to my dad (I don’t think he’d seen pictures of the East Wing) & he was skeptical until I showed him the pictures back to back you posted & it just immediately clicked for him.
Graham Planter really limited Tim Duncan’s ‘06 season😞
