I see I've gotten some new followers, so hello! I guess it's time to do another intro post! 👋

✨I'm a YA & NA fantasy writer. My current WIP is full of demons and pretty dresses, and everyone is anxious and queer.

✨I, too, am queer and full of anxiety (and caffeine, usually).

I’m sorry but I don’t have a sale today. My handmade pottery mugs are as cheap as I can price them without losing money.

I’m only one person with one finite life and a full-time job hand-painting 30 blood drip layers on each mug. 🩸

Order by Monday for Christmas delivery: littleedenpottery.etsy.com

If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

I am, as always, thankful that I didn’t marry into a family that runs 5Ks on holidays.

While baking tomorrow's pumpkin pie, I only had to take the label out of the recycling three times to check the recipe, a new personal best.

Today at work I was in the hallway on my way back from my lunch when the fire alarm started going off for the second time in a week.

I looked up at the ceiling and said “For fuck’s sake” before realizing there were two random students right there. 🫣

Are we talking about pie?

My strongest opinion about pie is that you can have it for literally any meal. Like, obviously fruit pies make a GREAT breakfast, but there's also quiche. Or for a savory lunch or dinner option, there are pot pies. And then follow it up with whatever other pie for dessert.

One year, my dad found a recipe for a crockpot breakfast casserole. He thought that sounded like a nice, easy Christmas morning breakfast, so he got everything in the crockpot before bed and left it to cook overnight.

The end result was so foul, he buried it in the back yard.
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this

If you're buying gifts for the holidays, maybe consider supporting artists, writers, creators. Gift someone a Patreon, commission an art piece, buy a book, purchase handmade jewelry, etc. Your support means everything.

We still don’t have autocorrects and spellchecks that work correctly.
will never understand ppl that claim that ai has no place in art but it’s fine for coding and such, yall it’s a bad product, why are we making concessions for something that produces mediocre outputs AT BEST

My sister is a labor and delivery nurse and people like to treat it as “haha of course she’d yell at doctors, that’s so her”. But thank god that IS so her because she’s yelling at doctors for not listening to her patients and to get them the care they deserve.
Free birth is eugenic *and* it exists not because birthing people want their babies to die, but because there are so many horror stories floating around about doctors disrespecting birthing people in what is one of the most vulnerable states any human can experience.

Today in the hall, I overheard a teacher telling a student, “I haven’t seen you in awhile! You should come to class sometime!”

It was so hard not to start laughing.

My autistic 12yo has started prefacing his info dumps with "fun fact!", which is nice because it allows us all to mentally prepare.

Unfortunately, like 75% of his "fun facts" are actually, like, the most morbid things you've ever heard. So we're still working on what actually constitutes "fun".
