I heard a rumor they're making a sequel to 'The Social Network' and god I hope they call it '2 Social 2 Network'
If you had asked me as a kid - when I still thought the future was full of promise and progress - what a 'timeline cleanse' would mean in 2025, I would have had much, much cooler ideas than we find in our reality.
Are we still doing 'money?' I mean, I'm here for it, just want to know for the future.

Former Andrew Cuomo aide Howard Glaser: “A grim and joyless campaign, as befits a battle for a prize never wanted... Victory, if it comes at all, will be bandaged with tinny fanfare and strident gloat, to muffle the voice at the center that won't stop whispering i’m hollow.”
I don't know what movie this was, but purely based on your description they should have named it 50-50
My concerns might also be table/group specific as well, I don't mean it to be a generic critique. Rather, seeing the concern of others, I'm excited to also see the positive experience of others. So thanks Cam and Fred for sharing! @rustysellsword.com @deadlyfredly.bsky.social
Those are great perspectives, and I don't mean to say I think it's 'broken' or can't work. I spend enough cycles worrying about spotlight time or players not paying attention out of turn... maybe 'no turns' would help? My worry is just that I struggle to imagine it without experiencing it first.
Thank you for writing it, Rob. Some interesting bits, but not sure it's the game for me. At least I feel I'm coming to that with some data instead of by default. The turn taking thing might be a deal breaker - I hope once you test or grok it you revisit. It worries me on a tactical and social level.

“If your tactics disrupt the order of things under capitalism, you may well be accused of violence, because ‘violence’ is an elastic term often deployed to vilify people who threaten the status quo. Conditions that the state characterizes as ‘peaceful’ are, in reality, quite violent.”

@prisonculture.bsky.social and I have been encouraging people to read chapter six of our book, Let This Radicalize You, which deals with the question of "violence" in social movements. We have decided to share the chapter publicly, to offer some context and grounding for the current conversation.

Too many rough beasts, so many centers that cannot hold.
Your comment makes me wonder what a 'related' mental breakdown would mean.

This kind of journalism is why we can't have nice things.
