Goodbye (kind of)
After many many years the time has come to say goodbye to this blog page. I'll be honest and say this is a sad moment for me. I have been posting my reviews here for a long time and I will be sad to see this site go. My hosting is up for renewal and the renewal costs are just too high for me to justify.

Blog Tour Review: All Wrapped Up
Autumn is my FAVOURITE time of year. I love the pretty leaves on the ground and the cooler weather. I love all the oranges and burgundies that you see around. I love all those autumn flavours of apples, cinnamon and squashes. And of course I love a good Pumpkin Spice Latte! So of course when I heard that Heidi was going to write an autumn themed book I was ecstatic.

Blog Tour Review: Trust No One
Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. This is the 8th book in this series but could be read as a standalone. I have read some of the series but there's a couple in the middle I seemed to have somehow missed. At first I was a bit out of the loop on a couple of things because of that but Roger explains what is going on so I was very quickly up to speed.

Blog Tour Review: Three Girls Gone
Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. This is the 14th book in the Detective Amanda Steele series but you could read it as a standalone. Ever since I had my little girl these crime thrillers with children hit differently. I feel the parents pain so much more than I did before.

Blog Tour Review: The Serpent’s Bride
This is a real enemies to lovers story. I love this trope and when you add in some vampires and a shape shifter you really have my attention. The main female character, Nadi, is strong, feisty and determined. She has a mission and she plans to execute it. The main male character, Razeiel, is snarky and sexy as hell. He is the kind of character you love to hate.

Blog Tour Review: The Whispering Girls
Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via Netgalley. This is the 14th book in the Detective Katie Scott series but all books can be read as standalones. Katie is supposed to be on vacation but of course Katie doesn't know how to take a break so she ends up leading a murder case in the little town of Echo Forest where she is staying.

Blog Tour Review: The Graveyard Girls
Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. This is the 11th book in the Detective Ellie Reeves series but could easily be read as a standalone. Set a few months after book 10, Ellie has been enjoying a period of quiet time. Ellie has been non stop on big case after big case but has finally had a period where she has caught a break.

Blog Tour Review: The Hanging Dolls
I have previously read Ruhi’s series Detective Mackenzie Price which I absolutely adored so I knew I had to read this new series about Special Agent Zoe Storm. Zoe is quite the mystery. She has a lot of childhood trauma and secrets. I feel like we really got to know so much about Zoe throughout the book but I still have so many questions.

Blog Tour Review: The Next Chapter
I have previously read 2 of Rebecca's book both of which I enjoyed. I like Rebecca's writing style and was looking forward to starting this one. Lily is a classic overthinker. There were many times that her thoughts really were quite exhausting but also very entertaining. Sometimes when she spiraled it would lead to some very funny moments. Lily and Seb's friendship is one we can all dream of.

Blog Tour Review: Let’s Make a Scene
I was lucky enough to attend the Books and the City 2025 Showcase back in February this year and not only got told all about this book but also heard an extract read by Laura herself. When I first heard about this book I knew I HAD to read it. This book has so many of my favourite elements. Dual POV and dual timelines, enemies to lovers and fake dating!

Blog Tour Review: Book Boyfriend
This story follows tins Jemma and Clara. In the beginning I found Clara to be very immature and selfish. As the story progressed and we got to know Clara I started to understand her more. I realised she puts on a big front. Jemma appears to be the serious twin while Clara appears to be the fun one. However things are not all they seem.

Blog Tour Review: Little Child Gone
This is the tenth book in the Nikki Hunt series. It could be read as a standalone but is better enjoyed if you have read the whole series. I love Nikki and her team. They work so well together and you can see they would go to bat for each other 100%. I also like Sheriff Miller. This book had a lot going on at the beginning.

Blog Tour Review: Save Her Life
Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via netgalley. This is the first book in a new series. Sandra Vos has appeared in Carolyn's Amanda Steele series but this is the first book where she is the main character. I like Sandra. She's empathetic and wants the best for the people she is trying to help.

Review: Closing The Deal
I have been so excited about Rafe and Bea's story. We met Bea in previous books in this series but if you haven't read them then you can till read this book as a stand alone. Bea and Rafe have known each other since they were kids. Bea is best friends with Rafe's sister so they tend to be in each other's lives, much to each others irritation.

Blog Tour Review: Best Summer Ever
Thank you to Books and the City for my copy of this book and for letting me take part in the blog tour. I am a long standing fan of Heidi's work and I cannot believe we are on her twentieth book! If you have ever read any of Heidi's books before then you know exactly what sort of story you will get here but if you haven't then you are in for a treat.

Review: Two Broken Girls
Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley. This is the thirteenth book in the Detective Morgan Brookes series but could be read as a standalone. Morgan and the team kept me right on the edge with this one. There seemed to be so much at risk and so few leads. It felt like there was danger around every corner!

Review: Christmas Wishes at Cranberry Cove
Thank you to Holly for my copy of this book. I am a huge fan of Holly's writing and this series set in Apple Hill Bay. Each book in this series focuses on a different couple and these two have been lingering in the background the whole time and I wanted to read their story so badly. This book started with a bang!

Blog Tour Review: Enchantra
Omg omg omg! What a book. I loved the first book in this series Phantasma. It was the first fantasy book in a while that really had me hooked and book 2 was as good. The story was fun and deadly from start to finish. Vivi is a strong female character who doesn't need anyone to save her. She doesn't take no for an answer and she believes in herself.

Blog Tour Review: Don’t Trust Him
Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley. This book was a mixed bag for me. There were a few niggles, the main one being that you cannot catch shingles from chicken pox. This information is quite easily found on the internet and really bugged me throughout these scenes. I felt like Sarah's 'secret' and what happened in Arran was a bit blown out of proportion and it was made out like she had done something truly terrible.
