Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

When I talk to students about public speaking or teaching, I always bring this up: Just tell people when you don't know something! It's remarkably powerful b/c it signals to your audience that you know the boundaries of your expertise and they can trust what you DO talk about.

Don't overthink. Trump isn't going on a death-threat rant for some tactical purpose. It's because things aren't going well for him and when things don't go well he melts down like a toddler. It's bad that a president is doing this but it's because he's losing it. It's not part of a grand plan.

I just read the details more closely and it turns out the zip ties were purchased in my dad's hometown, lmao. This also all happened pretty close to Atlantic City, if you want a better geographical reference to where this all happened.
