If you find it let me know, I appreciate you taking the time to look.
Yeah no, that's kinda what I mean, the degree of adamancy of their claims has that concerning delusional quality.
Sorry. If you saw something nonsequitur for a moment then before I deleted it: I had another tab open and accidentally got mixed up and wrote my reply to you to someone else and my reply to them to you.
Do you by any chance have a link to that I could read?
Yes, but arguably everything has a genetic component and that doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be "cured" by removing genes (I know that's not what you're saying, but eugenics is the reason people were looking for a genetic cause of autism in the first place). Besides some are features not bugs.
So basically scoliosis didn't just turn up in humans but has been a condition possible in all vertebrates since - well, since vertebrates... so the primary risk factor for it is just having a spine in the 1st place? 🤔
Okay sure I get why it may not be wise to "pathologise" literally everything, but AI-psychosis is a thing and tbf pointing out that some of these things sure as heck sound like it is really just a comparison not a diagnosis. We're not pretending to be psychiatrists so no need to self-silence.

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

A great way to build the capacity for attention is to read books.
when people say "but students are so distracted, what is there to do but teach excerpts," i always think, "teach books"

I strongly recommend everyone do research sometimes 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘯.

Look something up on Wikipedia. Go to the little citation. Follow it. Read the article it's referencing. Follow links to the original interview. Read the paper written by the interviewee

It genuinely makes you appreciate journalism

Sometimes i get sad at those “I wanted to look up what kind of horse pulled medieval wagons It’s three hours later and playtex bra sewers made spacesuits i have a problem” no. No, you don’t. Hydrate and get back in there

It easy beats doomscrolling tiktok, learning new stuff with actual citations is good brain food, you just need a starting point in something you are already interested in then link hop when you find something you don't know about. I have multiple wiki tabs open for branched dopamine farming rn.
Just rewatching "meld" from s2 of Star Trek Voyager and tbh considering how obnoxious Neelix is by repeatedly not taking no for an answer and invading his personal space I'm surprised Tuvok tolerated that B S as long as he did, "mental discipline" or not.

One year I was a crinoid for Halloween. Made a belt of maroon feather boas and tossed them into the air to look like this 🥹
...after a while it would put you off cake (even if you like pickle) like you eat cake bc you want cake, and I expect certain core elements of Trek to "taste" Trek, so if I ever did catch SNW I'd be kinda worried SNW would be similar to LD like that.
I am not sure how I saw the LD episodes last year bc I never had Paramount+ but what I saw reminded me of the animated DC Harley Quinn, like it has fun ideas and I don't dislike anything major about the main characters but the flavor is off like if you kept tasting pickle when eating cake, after...
I want to know more how the control group was treated because even if there are traits associated with autism or dyspraxia, etc in the non-covid parents and kids we already know long-covid has neurological effects and could have expected-exclusion-confirmation bias that disregards observable traits.
"We've got to get out of here Bones!"
"Are you talking to me or him?"

... Or something like that! XD
Also your glasses 😍 literally! :D
You look great! At first I wasn't sure about the pink but after the initial "oh this isn't what I was expecting" it works really well actually, and paired with the black sections gives it a really stylish contrast.
Relating to the NB stereotype of looking like something that raids bins and sleeps in hedges because f*ck expectations of beauty "standards" is a legit experience. And a valid response bc if they deviate from ambiguous racoon meets haystack then the narrow minded will rush to misgender them. Sigh.
Clearly bsky have never heard the phrase "toxic positivity".

But to have healthy minds to have healthy communities we need to be able to commiserate like "wow, shit, sorry that sucks" just as much as we need to be able put the crap on pause for a min and be like "hey check out this funny cat."

So apparently not only is satire dead but horror is being killed off in the current times too.
This Halloween more than any other in my entire life so far is the one where watching the news is scarier than a horror movie. Horror movies are cozy by comparison, not only because the violence is fake but also in horror movies typically there's only one evil villain with actually limited power.
