Infections due to failed stents and catheters cost the #NHS an estimated £2.5bn a year.

Last week, Dr Ali Mosayyebi was on BBC Radio Solent talking about the CASSETTE #ClinicalTrial of a new urinary stent, designed to reduce infections.

It was fantastic to be at the first #HIOWResearchAssembly yesterday and be in a room full of people passionate about #research for patient benefit, listening to the voices of patients and the public, and reducing health inequalities.

And lots of interest in our #ClinicalTrials and the work of SCTU!

#PancreaticCancer is often diagnosed late, when treatment options are limited.

Our SAFE-D trial is evaluating a blood test to try and spot the very earliest signs of the #cancer developing.

Around 12,000 men die from #ProstateCancer in the UK every year.

A new trial, funded by @prostateuk.bsky.social, will look at whether selecting patients who may require more intensive treatment can improve outcomes for those with metastatic disease.

Recruitment to the MODERNISED #EarlyDetection trial is over halfway!

Over two thirds of children with #ADHD experience #SleepProblems.

The Sleep Buddy website has been developed by experts alongside parents and carers of children suffering ADHD-related sleep issues.

It's now being trialled in a UK-wide study.

Each winter, thousands of people are admitted to hospital with a viral #respiratory #infection, putting enormous pressure on the #NHS.

The UNIVERSAL study is finding new ways to prevent and treat these infections, and recently recruited its 900th participant!
