Department of Education FAFSA changes are open for public comment. The changes include requiring trans students to misgender themselves and removes the nonbinary option on forms. Note: comment period is 60 days, and comments are publicly visible.

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Education published the information collection for the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid ( FAFSA®) form in the Federal Register, the first public step in the FAFSA development process. The Department is on track to launch the 2026-27 FAFSA by Oct. 1, 2025 as mandated by the FAFSA Deadline Act.

The Department also announced that current and future FAFSA forms will rightfully reflect the biological reality that there are only two sexes: male and female. Department officials will remove “nonbinary” as a gender identification option from the current year’s FAFSA form.

“The Trump Administration will correct the failures of the last Administration and ensure students and families can easily access the FAFSA form in a timely manner,” said Acting Under Secretary James Bergeron. “Resolving ongoing problems with the 2024-25 form, reflecting biological reality by referencing sex identifiers, and beginning the process for the 2026-27 form on-time will allow the Department to earn back the trust of the American people. Families and students depend on the FAFSA form to plan their futures, and any release delays or unnecessary politicization of the form is wholly unacceptable.”

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies.

Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE.

1. Yesterday, Representative Nancy Mace shouted an anti-trans slur into the microphone at a congressional hearing three times in a row.

Major breaking trans news: The States of Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon have sued the Trump administration to block it from enforcing a national gender affirming care ban for those under 19 years of age.

This is the second major lawsuit over Trump's trans ban EO.

WHEREFORE, Plaintiffs request that the Court grant the following relief:
A. Declare that Section 3(g) of the Gender Identity Order and the Denial of Care Order
are unconstitutional and unlawful;
B. Issue temporary, preliminary, and permanent injunctive relief enjoining Agency
Defendants, including any subagencies of Defendant HHS, their employees, agents, and
successors in office and those in active concert or participation with them, from
implementing or enforcing Section 3(g) of the Gender Identity Order and the Denial of
Care Order or otherwise withholding federal funding based on the fact that a healthcare
entity provides gender affirming medical care;
C. Waive the requirement for the posting of a bond of security for the entry of
temporary and preliminary relief;
D. Award Plaintiffs their reasonable fees, costs, and expenses, including attorneys’
fees; and
E. Grant any other and further relief that this Court may deem just and proper.
