As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

David Lynch will forever be remembered as one of the most unique and influential artists of the 20th/21st centuries. An absolutely monumental talent. Inland Empire and Blue Velvet are my favourites.

Credit to Lila Shapiro for doing such an excellent job with this piece. It's empathetic but unflinching, covers so much ground, cuts off any "but wasn't it kink" contrarian defences, and paints a detailed portrait of power, arrogance, and how a "geek favourite" wielded such control.

Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Olivia Hussey. Between Juliet and Jess Bradford in BLACK CHRISTMAS, she was the type of performer whose kindness just radiated off the screen.

Golem by Piotr Szulkin is one of the strangest films I've ever seen and, for that, it has my highest recommendation.

My most shameful confession as a horror fan is that I used to think The Exorcist was boring. I have since #changed and #grown and realise it's awesome (but I still think Exorcist III is superior)
