It was an honor and a pleasure to spend this last week across the district sharing meals, handing out turkeys, and celebrating with the incredible community organizations and volunteers who make these events possible.

Hakeem Jeffries voted to condemn socialism. Does that mean he’s giving up his district office in Coney Island’s Amalgamated Warbasse Houses? Those co-ops were built by Abraham Kazan, a loud and proud socialist, for socialist labor union workers. He should learn history.

It’s inspiring to see Jewish and Muslim leaders standing together. Dan Goldman needs to take notes. He uses his position in power to unconditionally support Israel’s genocide in Gaza while echoing Islamophobic rhetoric. Follow us and help us dump Dan Goldman in June! Better leadership is possible.

What is happening in Fulton & Elliot-Chelsea houses is cruel and inhumane. This is no way to treat NYCHA residents, who suffer enough from a mismanaged housing system as it is, during the beginning of the holiday season. Shame on the elected officials who sit back idly as this injustice persists.

Trying to join a DSA 101 is harder than getting into Berghain. Both of this weeks are maxed out for attendance lol. Good problem for them to have. Can’t deny that the movement is growing!

Look, real politicos know that Senate party leadership doesn’t have control over their party in the way that the House Speaker and leaders do. But we do know that the communication and messaging coming from the Senate Democratic Leader is falling short, and that’s why we want a change of the guard.

Via my last post it seems that this could be the reason. However, I’d like to point out that the @nytimes.com alert all but said “Justice Jackson has blocked the prior ruling that ordered the Trump admin to issue SNAP benefits.” This is why I’m not in law school, no matter how much my mom wishes 🤣🤣🤣
She wants an order from the First Circuit upholding the trial court. That would give the liberal minority a foothold to argue the Supreme Court should do so as well. a strategic stay to increase chance of restarting SNAP benefits.

I don’t know much about law. Is there any valid reason Ketanji Brown Jackson issued a stay on the court decision that would force the Trump admin to issue SNAP benefits? Or is she not as good as people on MSNBC made her seem to be.
