Me: I'll create a RAID5 on my desktop using some of these spare SSDs to store my code on so it won't get lost.
My computer: Jokes on them, I'm not gonna reassemble the RAID5 or persist anything to disk, apparently.

Took the SSDs from my server that were fine and put them in my PC for a big disk for all my games. Bent the pins in the USB 3 header on my motherboard trying to squeeze my fingers into the sata ports. Edge-mounted connectors may be nice for cable management but they're nasty for in-case modification

one of the drives in my server died and because i was doing a group of raid-0 drives raid-0'd together with a lvg on top, i think all the data is gone.
12TB of data. Gone.
