Opinions are my own.
Xenium makes #spatial omics accessible since unless you are designing your own panel, or doing large number of experiments and generating data at scale, one really doesn't really need to code. The free Xenium Explorer software is enough to analyze data & generate publication quality images. 🧬🖥️

Among the #LLM, I use #Llama and Codellama all the time. I am writing APIs to find hosts for all known viruses and it gets more than 95% concordance with what we got by manually scraping through databases. Every single time i am amazed like "how is this thing available for free?" :D

Along with R, Python, bash and Nextflow, SQL should be an integral part of bioinformatics training. How a simple integration of SQLite in workflows improves speed and efficiency is not appreciated enough. 🖥️🧬

As I've seen some of the newer folks wonder how Bluesky is going to handle verification, let me drop this here: How to use your domain as your Bluesky handle. As you can see, I have done it, and no one else here has access to my domain, so you can tell it's really me.
