Today we mark what should have been Sophie’s 11th birthday. Sophie died aged 3, whilst waiting for a heart transplant.
Her parents, Abbie, who is part of our team, & Karl, made the decision to offer Sophie’s organs for donation after she died and Sophie went on to give her kidneys to two people.
One day in 2012 Connor Saunders was out with friends when his life was cruelly cut short by one punch – a senseless act of violence.

Connor,at the age of 16,had signed the organ donor register and thanks to that selfless decision of Connor's he went on to initially save 5 lives.

Seven years ago our very own Deborah, who was born with cystic fibrosis, received a double lung transplant. Without a courageous donor family saying yes to organ donation Deborah wouldn’t be savouring every sweet second of her second chance at life.
