To those who don't know me yet, hello! I'm a writer with a fantasy novel in progress, a few short pieces you can find on my website, and a book blog as well.

My favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi, and classics, although I like to mix it up sometimes! Follow for lots of book-related goodness 💙📚

A November well spent! My personal favorites were Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (cozy mystery with great humor) and Our History is the Future (eye-opening non-fiction about Indigenous resistance against settler colonialism in the US)

This book was emotionally challenging, so much so in the middle portion that I almost couldn't bear to continue reading. I'm glad I did. I learned so much, and I feel as though I see the world a bit more clearly now

Highly recommended for anyone whose education had the same gaps in it as mine

I'm excited to read The Strength of the Few, but I haven't yet... because it was just published today. How was it nominated for an award that claims to be "readers' favorite"?

If your TBR's not long enough already, today's post gives you many ways to fill it with books outside the beaten path

I made an effort to reduce screen time this month

Most of these were good, but standout novels include Happiness Falls, Davita's Harp, Several People are Typing, When Stars are Scattered, and Maskerade. I'd also recommend The Ace and Aro Relationship Guide (nonfiction) if it's relevant to you!

🚨 Texas just lost — AGAIN — trying to ban books from schools. A federal judge has permanently blocked the READER Act for violating the First Amendment.

If you (like me) are tired of seeing AI results at the top of Google results, I found this website that automatically take them out (and seemingly ads as well?)

No tricks. It just redirects you to Google with a few extra characters in the URL to make the search work this way. Enjoy!

Why has no one ever told me that the ending of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is so infuriating? Boy am I glad I only read it for background knowledge because I have James by Percival Everett on my TBR
