Perfect example of political media operating under the post-truth standard that (1) distorts the facts until the parties look approximately equal, and (2) holds “do MAGA voters care?” as a higher standard than “is it true?” or “is it important for the public to know about this?”

Direct File’s brief stint at the IRS has ended, with taxpayers being pointed towards third-party filing services instead. But what killed the program?
The IRS' Direct File option is dead, though Free File lives on (with limitations)
The Trump administration says the Free File program offered through commercial tax preparation companies is a more effective option.

1. Congress always gets paid in full no matter what because Constitution.
2. The primary goal is staying in office, so money is most important because it funds reelections.

My non-legal opinion is that, if someone in a mask with no uniform and no ID tries to assault and kidnap you or anyone else, then you may exercise your Second Amendment rights with extreme prejudice.
