The only difference between this and any other day of the year is that it was caught on camera and couldn't be suppressed in time before we got to see it.

If we trade with the settler ethnic cleansing project in the West Bank then we are a participant in this, not an onlooker. #Ireland #OTB

Saw a LinkedIn post today from a Serious Person who hailed progress on Ireland's planned LNG import terminal, and hilariously suggesting the gas could be sourced from cheap overseas biomethane.

Sadly, they weren't joking.

It might as well be powered by vibes.

Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

Like for real, I haven't seen a single thing in the media for ages about Sally Rooney except in the context of the Brits doing the will-we-won't-we dance about banning her books. Couldn't have come up with better marketing if you were her biggest fan
Advisor: Last time we tried charging Irish artists with terrorism offenses over trivial nonsense it ended up massively boosting their profile and embarrassing the government

An incident occurred at the Baikonur launch site in Kazakhstan. The launch pad 31 operated by the Russian Roskosmos space agency was heavily damaged during the last missile launch. It is the only operational launch pad for the Soyus and Progress rockets in the Eastern hemisphere.

A few years ago, my son installed a pihole on our home network.

This captures and blocks ads on the whole network at the modem level and also prevents tracking and signalling from machines on the network.

By far, by a mile, the most blocks are on our Samsung TV trying to snitch on us back to HQ.

Without changing the intent of the model I would prefer to see it presented like this. Two reinforcing loops and two stocks, so we can start to grasp the dynamics at play.

Could we please stop framing it as the "migration system"?

It's the asylum system that the rules relate to.

We need everyone to know that these new rules are being brought in so that we can be crueler to people who are already going through horrendous torment in their lives.
Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan has defended changes to the migration system, rejecting criticism that the tightening of rules is disproportionally focused on asylum seekers

Today's transport plan delivers a stark message to commuters.

Expect more years stuck in traffic with no viable public transport alternatives.

This is an absolute disaster. Taking away money from ready-to-go public transport projects so that they can chuck more cash at new roads.

The exact opposite direction we should be going.

(Plus: the more you delay projects, the more they cost. Every time.)
DART+ South West is shelved until 2030. It has full planning approval since 2024, no judicial reviews and is ready to go but construction won't start until after 2030. A lot of housing around Adamstown and Clonburris built in anticipation of this upgrade.

Luas Finglas, a simple 4km extension of the Green line, won't start construction until 2029. This project received planning permission this month and should be full steam ahead. Instead, the government is delaying procurement starting for at least two more years.

Four months after it was promised, we finally have the government's transport investment plan between now and 2030. It's bad. Roads are in, public transport is out. A lot of public transport projects being put on the long-finger to make funding available for new roads.
