Had Medicaid or CHIP during pregnancy in TX? You get 12 months of postpartum coverage (effective 3/1/24). If you were cut off early, appeal within 90 days. As your year ends, switch to Healthy Texas Women or the Family Planning Program. Share this post—most parents still don’t know! #savetexasmoms

Syphilis in pregnancy is surging—while chlamydia & gonorrhea cases have decreased ↓ since 2019, syphilis has increased ↑ by 61% and newborn cases are up ↑ by 106%. Texas moms & babies deserve better! See the next skeet for how we fix this.

Day 2 of 10: Doulas and mental health providers are essential to maternal health. What's needed? Medicaid reimbursement for doula training and expanded behavioral health training across Texas. Because mental health is maternal health.
