I don’t get it, why does making art become unsatisfying when you remove the part where your brain works and is rewarded with a sense of accomplishment

If the machines in The Matrix had just said they were a corporation instead of living beings, humanity would have volunteered for the goo pods and hailed the machines as job creators.

Amazing, no notes, I do not desire to learn anything else about this story, for it would only detract from the perfection on this headline.

One of the many reasons we have to fight the rise of the far right is the risk they pose to undoing the progress we *have* made.
Lot of people are already passing this around with the usual "WHY ISN'T ANYONE DOING ANYTHING" shrieks, while ignoring the fact that the article literally says that this is a *significant* decrease from the warming that we were on track for even a few years ago.
World still on track for catastrophic 2.6C temperature rise, report finds
Fossil fuel emissions have hit a record high while many nations have done too little to avert deadly global heating

one bad side effect of having an era of "serious" James Bond is the baggage of "this has to make logical sense to be taken seriously" when we're talking about a character who has hopped across a series of alligators and disguised himself as a Japanese man while saying "arigato" in a scottish brogue
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
