Using dispositor trees to track which house(s) your chart leads back to is a great way to understand more indirect blockages.
Sometimes it might not be a maltreated or debilitated planet, it could be its dispositor making things difficult.
Aries season this year with Mars in Cancer is a good ex.

Honestly being in a Saturn profection year with an angular Saturn that is bonified by Venus in a night chart is heaps better than a year ruled by a combust Jupiter year that is in the 6th house in a night chart.
Though tbh I can see some of the benefits and downsides for both.

Also as for timing techniques I think is interesting to mention.
On 31/10 I entered a new ZR period releasing from Spirit, it's a minor peak period in the fixed modality. Last night was a full moon that took place right over my 1H/7H axis and my 1L, Mars in Scorpio.
The timing was impeccable 👌

Essentially as soon as we hit the first degree of the pre-shadow degrees my partner gets into a car accident (the Rx will take place along his 6H/5H) and his car is now past recovery 😓
