The AWS outage exposes again that “the cloud” isn’t magic, it’s infrastructure. The issue isn’t a cyberattack, it’s architectural over-reliance on a handful of cloud giants. We centralized the internet and then made our entire lives dependent on it.

So, the evening weather balloon wasn't as perfect as I had hoped, but we can work with it. The main number we were hoping would be zero was the C.A.P.E. (Convective Available Potential Energy). The value was 565 J/kg. Zero would have been perfect. (1/2)

There has been another serious npm supply-chain attack. Astro is NOT AFFECTED as it does not depend on any of the packages, either directly or indirectly. You should still check your package lock files to ensure you do not have them installed.

That wire thing on top of the tv was called an antenna, and you'd often have to move it all around to catch the signal for the channel you wanted to watch.
