I wasn’t present for when the car hit 400k miles, but I am reliably informed that my daughter took this picture, and not the driver. ;) (And she cut off the last digit, so it looks like it’s only 40k miles, but I assure you this Prius has seen more adventures than that!)

I’m sure I have something I’m not remembering, but I do recall my Dad one time, after we got back home late one night, tried to use the car’s remote clicker to unlock the apartment door.

I’m also constantly amazed at my 13 year-old’s self-awareness and ability to describe how things impact and affect her. Absolutely no one I knew at 13 (and certainly not me) was able to thoughtfully discuss their feelings in such a considered way.

It was a well fought game.

I think it’s underrated how much digital storage impacts the teacher’s experience as well. As an occasional Sunday School teacher for adults (I know, different field), being able to save my notes and slides, and easily find and reuse them later makes my life much easier!

Recordings help a great deal sometimes. A friend struggled with some math concepts, but watched a different instructor’s videos to finally “get” it. As for myself, video lessons were crucial for breaking into the tech industry for my second career, as I didn’t have access to a traditional classroom.

I am with you - the Republicans I grew up with and had meaningful policy discussions with are materially different from the Republican party of today. Even if many of those people are the same people.
