O-ish G in these parts after the supervillain took over the old place, talking college basketball and soccer mostly. CT raised, currently in VT. Tried to save democracy once, but that didn't go so well.
Looking forward to my first December Montreal trip.

North Texas yaks away a big lead at Oregon State and then .... pulls a Chris Webber (I hate saying that, but don't know how else to do it) in a tie game with 1.4 seconds left and loses 66-64.

Brutal.

RIP Kevin Mackey, who took Cleveland State on a magical NCAA run, then got put on probation for recruiting Manute Bol, which led to Jerry Tarkanian's famous quote: "The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky it is going to put Cleveland State on probation again."

UT Martin follows up a 5% KenPom win at UNLV with an 8% one at Bradley.

Skyhawks were picked 8th in the OVC, but I think the league might want a redo.

This is both an advertisement to ban live-ball time outs and an ode to early season non-conference games.

Lot of hoops on tonight, but the New Hampshire-Vermont America East soccer semifinal in front of a packed house in the snow in Burlington is good cinema.

Catching up on Yale-Quinnipiac. They brought out a stretcher and neck brace for MAAC Player of the Year Ammari Munroe after a hard fall late in the first half, but he got up, walked off the floor, then returned to the game.

Central Connecticut wins at Boston College.

Should be a fun race in the NEC between LIU and CCSU, but BC might get booted from the ACC, which has had a good start.

So Shaheen's daughter, running for Congress, has come out against her mom, which reminds me of that Braveheart line:
