Loved writing this BFI feature on the ten horror performances that were Oscar-nominated for Leading Actress. I’ve everything crossed that icon and legend Demi Moore can continue the streak of horror wins! www.bfi.org.uk/lists/before...
Before Demi: every lead actress who has ever been nominated for a horror film
For her turn in The Substance, Demi Moore is only the 10th actress ever to be nominated for the Oscar for best actress in a horror movie. But the three before her all won – could Demi too?

I’ve written a feature for the BFI on movies based on musicals based on movies, marking the release of Mean Girls aka the event of the century.

It was massive fun revisiting these classics and their inspirations! 📽️🎶🎭🍿

Have a read: www.bfi.org.uk/lists/movies...

Loved Mean Girls. Reneé Rapp and Auli’i Cravalho EAT. I was so into what they did with I’d Rather Be Me that I fully jumped from my seat at the end… Between that, Sexy, Revenge Party and World Burn, most of the adaptation is a total home run that honours both versions. 🍿👠📕💄

A brilliant day exploring one of the world’s largest collections of film and TV at the BFI National Archive, and meeting some of the team working hard to develop, preserve and restore film for future generations 📽️🎞️📼🎥

Lovely night at the UK premiere of Disney’s Wish. A suitably magical story to mark the centenary of the studio, with some great songs. Certain to be a big hit with the kids!

I absolutely loved the Disney100  exhibition at ExCel. Some of my highlights included Steamboat Willie storyboards, Mary Blair concept artwork, Snow White sheet music, the multi plane camera, and props used to create sound effects (with accompanying audio clips)! So fun.
