Imagine the outrage that would arise if a politician proposed to remove cars worth less than £38k from the roads, even though they are currently being driven and maintained legally. Yet, when it's real people being discussed, it's treated like a thought experiment instead of a genuine threat.
I asked her about gigs outside of London, and she's at a showcase in New Orleans in January that will have several UK booking agents in attendance; so I'm sure she'll be in Glasgow or Edinburgh before too long 😉
I don't begrudge anyone the experience of a stadium gig. But, for me, nothing beats standing mere feet from one of your favourite artists in an intimate venue - in this case, @emmaswiftsings.bsky.social (plus hubby, Robyn Hitchcock, in support) at a sold-out Troubador. Just glorious (and only £12)!
Sorry, Bob - no merch for sale tonight! Had a quick word with Emma afterwards, and she said that she's working on a UK distribution deal for vinyl and CDs. Look for an announcement on Bluesky in a couple of weeks.

P.S. She was fabulous 😉
No problem at all, Bob. I trust you had a fine holiday?

Its that time again that we ask all non-musicians to do one thing to try and help the community out.

Join Bandcamp.

We're not saying spend money, but just joining and be open to streaming or following some new music is so important.

Help be the change you want to see

Presumably, she regarded her grandparents with contempt.
Minister for Cultural Purity.
Funny how she didn't include pizza or pasta in the list of foods she's never tried.
Bloom? Is he related to the equally delightful Godfrey?
He is clearly too young to have experienced the sheer tribalism of the pre-Hillsborough terraces. I was by no means a regular attendee, but my memories are mainly of the utter hostility inside the grounds and the huge efforts outside to keep the two sets of fans apart. As usual, he talks bollocks.
It just gets better and better!
I think it's an excellent idea. We get rid of a load of racists, and they can pick crops in Texan fields - I've heard that there are a lot of job opportunities for some reason.
I trust the assistant made a joke about 'money for old rope', because, if not, they need to be fired! 😉
I wish the Home Office would do exactly that.
Cheers, Richard. I must have played the album five times yesterday - it's stunning!
Not completely new - you played a tune of his that I requested earlier this year 😉 Must check his album out.
I only discovered last week that Nos Da Comrade is Welsh! Not sure what I thought it was, looking back 😄
Evening all. Fabulous start!

Does Jenrick understand that he is in a law-making role? If so, what's the point of creating laws if you then object to their enforcement?
