It feels like that in the US as well. On my property (multiple acres) I used to see wolves all the time now its more every once in a while.
No wolf pups were born in Flanders in 2024 + Belgium is only home to approx. 20 wolves total. Conservation organizations are asking for wildlife crossings and fencing along high-risk roads, + hope to see more punishment for wolf poachers.
