As I'm coming up on 1000 hours on Hitman World of Assassination, I could really use a new game with the same general vibe. Meaning it's not overly dependent on precision or reaction times, more planning oriented. But not an outright puzzle game. Accepting suggestions.

I’m probably going to buy a new iPhone soon, but I hate that I’m doing it. IMO Apple has made nearly everything about the platform and OS worse to use, and fallen far behind Android’s other capabilities. But I see no way to get an Android without welding my data to Google and I just won’t do it.

I've got a new blog post for all of you fine folks! It runs through the additions to D3D12 since it was released, and finishes up with some of the things that have changed for me personally in my code.

(And yes it's really been 10 years 👴).

Ten Years of D3D12
For those of us that have been using it from the start, it can be hard to believe that Direct3D 12 has been around for nearly ten years now. Windows 10 was released on July 29th 2015, and D3D12 has be...

I wasn’t planning on becoming an Orange fanboy, but this cab is thunder. Kinda makes a mockery of my Marshall 1960 actually. It’s the PPC 212 V, which is loaded with a pair of Celestion *Neo* Creambacks and a very relaxed 44 lbs of total weight.

Rec Room was fun, but had to lay off a lot of folks, so I am looking for the next opportunity.

If you are looking for a senior graphics coder to solve all your rendering problems on any platform, either remote or in the Seattle area, I'd love to hear from you.

Picture is purely for attention.

The slow realization that Pokémon is much, much bigger today than it ever was in my childhood is absolutely baffling. We considered a phenomenon 20 years ago. I like it, but how strange.

I can’t believe how much I love this cute little Orange guitar amp. Just have it sitting on top of this cheap 1x12 with a Celestion V-Type and it sounds amazing.

Man, the Broadway version of Aladdin is SO much better than either movie, and I feel like nobody knows this. It's one of my favorite musicals, one of only a couple shows I've been to more than once. youtu.be/FpT94oylSaU

Sometimes I reflect on confusing stuff that happened in the past, and it’s years later I realized OH! People who don’t like you will lie about you to authority figures to try and get you in trouble, even when the lies are stupid and easily disproven.

Every 2-3 months, Windows gets an update that retriggers OOBE, which is the startup thing that hassles you to use Edge and OneDrive. I'm already using both of those things fully configured, but it asks me to configure them anyway and then errors out.

How fucking stupid are these people.

Finally got out to watch the F1 Movie yesterday. Overall, pretty good, had fun. Well produced, you absolutely believe these guys are driving F1 cars on the real grid with the other real drivers. The story is cheesy and cliched, the writing is mid, and the character tropes are lazy. Doesn't ruin it.
