A new project I always wanted to do:
📈 Debts of the world.

Creating an accessible, automated tracker of all the debts of the world, with graphs, data visualisations, insights tool and different views.

we used to build household shrines to Going On The Computer and it's no coincidence that as we abandoned these we started straying further from god's light
What is it, why is it, how is it done and where is it.

New Mindsnack out, thanks for everyone following me.

Hackday today on 'Explore the business and ethical dimensions of AI implementation.'

What are go-to resources and your opinions?

#business #AI #ethical
🟰 I probably consume and build side by side, one can’t be done properly without the other. Start building and consume on the side line. Learn by building.
🚗 Want to shift to more using and building? Start small and see how you can fix the smallest piece of daily work, e.g. summarise all your comms in the morning.
⏅ I try out as much possible tools and methods as possible, find an objective, create something with and review the output.
Review with: Quality, accuracy, possible to iterate on.
One of the questions I heard lately

How much do you consume content about AI and how much do you actually use it?

Thoughts on how I do this 🧵
♣️ Strategic bets Or product themes. Based on commercial data, user feedback, gut feeling and trends in the market, we look at what we put on the roadmap & what we want to go after. And this is led by business objectives. So, we weight it against risk, opportunities, problems and technical design.
🪜 Next step: Focus on how you can align your strategic bets with other strategic bets or briefs. A shared objective empowered by multiple briefs has showed us in the past to have a bigger commercial success (more clients buying multiple solutions to solve the same problem)
🕊️ Proposals. We split each brief into small, chunks of problems and solutions, so that we can focus on smaller objectives that can lead to bigger ones.

✉️ Briefs. On top of those strategic bets, we try to write a bigger brief where we layout why we did, metrics for success, personas, ideas, context, the (design vision).
In our organisation, in order to ship features, we use three different concepts in order to organise, shape and decide on what we need to do.

⬇️ This is how we do that ⬇️
Craft.

🧶 One aspect is the attention (and your eye for detail).

📐 Also known as aligning titles, tab buttons (and their hover states) with numeric indicators.
Why?
Just to quickly share and validate ideas. In agency and without AI, there is no time to validate with wireframes, because it's not 'real'. In product and with AI, you can overcome this.
How?
Quick, dirty and fast brings results earlier. In agency and without AI, everything needs to be done yesterday. In product and with AI, everything can be done yesterday, but you can control today.
I have been ‘raised’ with no wireframing (agency)

- It doesn’t emphasise with people’s imagination
- Doesn’t work with content
- Clients don’t understand it
- Easy to use existing components.
- You have to design twice.

However, with AI building and work in product teams, wireframing is back.
Topics I am thinking about in the near future

🗣️ User research and feedback (Done!)

⚜️ What is craft in product design and how can you address it
©️ The world of copy in product design

🔄 Product iterations, how to tackle them, what issues, how is it valuable and why you (don’t) need it.

And yours?
Always nice to do some work on new color schemes for traffic lights, errors, information, scores and positive and negative charts.

Now using Tailwind CSS UIColors app, Figma internal color gradient tool and Contrast Tool.

What’s your color challenge?
