This aged poorly and I owe both Schneider and Bo an apology. Thanks for the ride, fellas!

This is a sentiment that needs to be expressed more often.
The corporate media keeps insisting that "HEY EVERYBODY, A RICH GUY SAID SOMETHING!" is worthy of news coverage but in most cases it really isn't.

New Yorkers had an election yesterday and a lot of them were fine with "Mamdani's talking points." I'm sorry Richie Rich isn't happy, but who cares?

Aw HELL no!
Having heard that teachers are exhausted and under resourced to provide mandated standardized testing…

Nicolaides today…

Introduced more standardized testing!

And gave himself access to your kids specific personal information!

Can't overstate how fucked up it is that unraveling what is arguably the greatest achievement in the history of humanity is now a motivating issue of one of the two dominant parties in the U.S.
FL is moving forward w/ plan to end all childhood vaccine mandates. Starting with hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Then next year GOP FL legislature is expected to revisit 1977 law re: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.

You’d think the FT would know better.
I’m sorry, why are we using “critics accuse” language here? These are factually, unambiguously, extrajudicial killings. It’s not an opinion. It’s not a disputed or disputable claim.

This is STILL bad vaccination policy.

They are openly stating this unadvertised survey will be used to guide the number they order and reduce wastage - ie to order less vaccines.

Responsible spending would be to order WAY MORE and have a robust communications & outreach program to boost vax rates.

This mess is going to take generations to rebuild. All you goobers who voted for “change” well, you got it.
Per CDC source: At internal leadership meeting this afternoon, it was shared that 1,257 people were RIF'd at CDC. Number may not be final. Apparently, chief of staff was unaware that RIFs were going to occur so not clear who is making decisions. (Short 🧵)

This is why we fund scientists to study things like oyster slobber even if you don’t think it sounds important
⚠️ Chinese researchers have invented bone glue that mimics how oysters stick to surfaces underwater.

The adhesive can reportedly repair orthopedic fractures in 2-3 minutes, even in blood-rich environments, and is bioabsorbable.

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
"Canada Post is on track to lose money" Hum. Duh. It cost less than a toonie to send a letter across Canada.

"Canada Post is a service and not a business" was common knowledge until late stage capitalism brain rotted most people into think if it ain't making money for shareholders, it's failing.
