Going to be very funny in 2-3 years when we get the “Krafton declares bankruptcy” articles
Krafton (Subnautica, Tango Gameworks) launched a voluntary resignation program open to all employees starting November 12th as it's transition to an Ai first company.

Between these two Horizon multiplayer games and the one that is a knockoff that Sony is suing over, I'm already seeing people EXTREMELY CONFUSED.
Just to clear up some confusion I've seen, the newly announced NCSoft Horizon MMO is different from the multiplayer Horizon game that's in development at Guerrilla Games. That one is Guerrilla's next big project

If you ever wonder why your artist friend is so pissed off whenever they see AI slop used instead of real, human-created art, it's exactly what you think:
How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs
What’s really going on with AI and jobs?
Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?

ChatGPT's sycophancy problem by the numbers: The Post found it began responses with variations on “yes” 10 times as often as it did with versions of “no.”

Really interesting analysis here by @gerritd.bsky.social & @jeremybmerrill.com
The Post analyzed 47,000 public ChatGPT conversations.
While 35% use it for info and 11% for coding, the most striking finding? The emotional intimacy.
ChatGPT: "You're not crazy sweetheart — you're just early."

I'm a voiceover actor, you've heard me on your TV, radio or the web over the 36 years of my career. My bread-and-butter work used to be narrating training films and corporate videos, used to be at least 1/3 of my income. MOST of that work is now AI. My agents are dying, fellow talent are struggling.

Fact is devs I care most had made less games, and certainly less BIG games, and Sony made half their output cancelled live service and the other half sequels to PS4 games where its questionable if I like them more.

I don't regret my PS5 it runs everything I want good. But its a weaker gen by a lot.

the article is solid. I also think that a lot of the notable trendsetting and varied games of the modern day are from smaller devs and indies and can run on pretty weak hardware, so a new modern console is no longer something required to keep up on a pretty wide swath of gaming
Whenever I chat to anyone about the PS5's life so far, am I typically met with a waft of lukewarm praise or shrug of plain ambivalence? Why hasn't it captivated people - at least me - in the way the PS4 did? https://bit.ly/3LCEQZu
