This is absurd and plainly illegal. The courts should reject this fringe theory.

But the real news here is Trump will do anything to try to kill an agency that has returned more than $21 billion to scammed Americans, but he'll do nothing to lower costs for American families.

Just like after Nixon, Congress will need to focus on creating enforceable laws that will constrain future corrupt and authoritarian-minded Presidents.
The failure of legal actions to fight corruption at the highest levels of government reinforces the need for legislation and other congressional actions. Our latest report offers recommendations for strengthening the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses: bit.ly/3XdgCaq
Codifying the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses
To prevent corruption, the Constitution prohibits the president and other officials from receiving untoward benefits. Congress, however, must take action to enable enforcement.

I still can't believe that five years ago we got rid of the Trump tumor, one of the worst presidents this country has ever had, then last year, a majority of voters said, "I'd like to have more of that." Even now, in all this chaos, 30-40% of our country thinks this is fine.

Bobcats and Griz games preempt Iowa-Oregon in Montana. It's on 7-3, but the resolution is horrible and we don't have announcer audio.

Tony (Kornheiser) said he called 911 when he had no water, and no one on the podcast chastised him for that! The 911 dispatcher even connected him to the water company! Don't encourage him! 911 is not the operator.

This map can't be right, can it? The Packers-Carolina game (yellow) is not being broadcast in Wisconsin or the Carolinas? I don't understand the NFL and their TV agreements.

All of these effects are caused by decisions and actions made intentionally by Trump. It's not really a perfect storm. Storms aren't caused by people. Hard to believe that some of these farmers still support him and are optimistic that things will get better.
