Can't help thinking there's an opportunity for venues to offer Eurovision counterprogramming on 16 May 2026 for all the people who watch for the sense of occasion and community but won't be doing so this time. Something for people to do that Saturday night: a club night, or a movie screening.

The problem is by and large you’re appealing to a group of people who think:
Sick pay should be for “proper” sick, not “woke” mental health
“We didn’t have safe workplaces and I’m fine”
“Human rights get in the way”
I didn’t have a minimum wage, I got paid in coal…
