And as a passionate supporter of 5 million Scots living in an independent nation with EU membership (just as the 5 million Danes, 5 million Norwegians or 5 million Irish all do so successfully)…

Let’s all hope the Greens and LibDems continue to rise in popularity!!!
Of course, this Green+LibDem coalition being supported by SNPs 50+ MPs would require the commitment for a new Scots Independence referendum. (By 2029 it will be over 15 years since last one)

With Scots horrified that Farage is so close to becoming UK PM, 58% of Scots want to leave UK and join EU….
This potentially give a LibDem+Greens+SNP+Plaid coalition approx 35%-40% of total votes in 2029 general election across very different constituencies…

That just might be enough to put Davey+Polanski into No 10…
This LibDem+Greens+SNP+Plaid coalition would currently attract over 30% of voters…

We still have 4 years of terrible Labour comms which will ensure millions more Lab supporters desert the party for LibDems or Greens by 2029…
This LibDem+Green coalition could then be supported by SNP and Plaid. SNP now massively resurgent in Scotland (After 14 years of Tory austerity and past year of Labour doing same, most Scots now realise Independence is only option for Scotland as they’re f*cked no matter Tory or Labour PM in No 10)…
I’m not so sure… it makes sense for Greens & LibDems to consider an electoral pact for 2029. Their voters don’t seem to overlap much… Greens chasing younger voters who now loathe Starmer’s Labour. LibDems chasing Tory voters who now loathe the neofascism they hear from Badenoch/Jenrick…
This in particular is hugely damaging to Labour…

Lab supporters now realise Starmer’s very recent speech at Conference was simply words - which Starmer has no intention of implementing.

Like millions already gone, Labour supporters on-the-fence with this govt will now flock to Greens or LibDems.
🤣🤣🤣

Reform politicians don’t need a seedy sex scandal or dodgy expenses scandal to bring the party into disrepute… they just need to be themselves to make the rest of the UK vomit 🤮🤮🤮
Naomi should ask any Tory:

“After UK left EU in 2020, successive Tory govts massively increased legal migration from Asia&Africa by 400%…

“If Brexit is so good, why did Tory govts desperately try to hide Brexit’s economic damage by falsely boosting UK GDP using huge rises in legal migration???”
Ben Ansell wrote a fascinating thread on this exact point: bsky.app/profile/bena...
On the morning of Keir Starmer's conference speech here's a new post on an odd psychopathology in British politics - our main parties don't like the people who vote for them - the dreaded Professional Managerial Class. And so they are acting out like a divorced dad seeking cooler voters. 1/n

Why British Parties Can't Make Peace with Their Actual Voters

If residents of Clacton and Scunthorpe want UK govt to implement a mass deportation programme, then the residents of Clacton and Scunthorpe can fund the £60 billion it will cost the UK… not a penny from Londoners who loathe the policy.
Precisely… On the assumption that regional towns and cities in UK will vote Farage into No 10 in 2029… why should the vast majority of London’s 10 million residents subsidise his government’s policies that Londoner’s despise with every bone in their body?
Perhaps the vast majority of Londoners (who cherish the city’s diversity and liberalism) should simply refuse to send funds to HMG used to subsidise Clacton and Scunthorpe whose populations keep voting for politicians demanding mass deportations and a return to “British” values (whatever that means)
Similarly in the UK… hugely diverse/liberal London massively subsidises the failing economies of many regional UK towns and cities who keep electing politicians that support mass deportations and the cancelling of minority rights…
Perhaps California Gov Newsom is right… If red states insist on using federal cash sent from California to deploy US military in LA and San Francisco against Californian citizens, then California should simply stop sending funds to the federal govt….
I was just thinking about passive political rebellions in relation to the US where a handful of blue states massively subsidise the failing economies of most red states…. Yet politicians of red states continuously support the US military deploying to cities in blue states…
Great interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social

Mr Polanski could refine his NATO answer to match the robust response of Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Europe & Foreign Affairs, to any NATO questions:

“European security cannot be left in the hands of voters in Wisconsin every 4 years”
Not there yet…

She’s blaming the Tories’ Brexit “deal”- implying a Labour “deal” can make Brexit a success.

It is Brexit itself that is toxic.

No matter who strikes whatever deal with the EU, Brexit will always be hugely damaging for the UK.
Your sea/skyscapes look as powerful as JMW Turner’s - and he, quite rightly, has his work on permanent exhibition at Tate Britain here in London. Huge kudos to you!

I most probably can’t afford it, but are any of attached screenshotted works still available (esp the first one - it’s fantastic!)
Heysel Stadium 1985 - fans charged others against a wall which collapsed.
39 DEATHS

Bradford City Stadium 1985 - fans set the wooden terraces on fire.
56 DEATHS

Hillsborough Stadium 1989 - overcrowding caused fans to be crushed
97 DEATHS

Yet Jenrick says football in 80’s was “good natured fun”

I live in Tower Hamlets, east London… If SNP ever puts forward a candidate here, I will be the first to vote for them.
Should Davey grab the headlines by being first party leader to loudly announce UK will rejoin Single Market under a Libs 2029 govt/coalition?

It’s clear both Lab & Tories will arrive same space of supporting UK in SM eventually… Davey should be the first to make announcement and get the good press…
Both Labour and Tories (previously pro-Brexit parties) are clearly now on a path to rejoining Single Market… and eventually rejoining EU.

However, only Libs have official policy of rejoining SM & EU - yet they keep it very quiet….
Labour and Tories have obviously done the demographics maths and focus groups… and realised the vast majority of voters now consider Brexit a disaster. Starmer/Reeves now openly criticising Brexit. Badenoch has openly said Brexits delivery was bad and damaged UK economy…
