Writer, sub-editor, general content person. Doctor Who fan who occasionally masquerades as an expert for money. Den of Geek and others. Once did a joke that made Terry Pratchett sad.
The time is right
Your perfume fills my head
The stars get red
And oh, the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid like
"You just lost the game"

The finest minds and most talented artists can’t ever seem to make green-screen footage of an actor pretending they’re outdoors look convincing.

I love PLURIBUS but I saw a rooftop scene that looked barely better than this.

Weird the way the entire world went mad and only the creator of the IT Crowd was unaffected.

I just saw a Tim Vine joke book in a charity shop. I flicked it open and the first joke I saw was:

George Lucas has a snotty younger brother. His name's George Mucus.

I put the book back on the shelf. I like Tim, but sometimes it's possible to write too many jokes, isn't it?

@phlaimeaux.bsky.social @maxrushden.bsky.social You've probably been sent this a hundred times since the Ross Noble episode came out, but just in case you haven't, here's Michael Barrymore singing 'You'll Never Find a Nessie in the Zoo': www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W_O...

I just watched Suck Ear doing the whole Six-Seven thing and cringed so hard that my insides are now on the outside.

"We all change... We’re all different people all through our lives. And that’s OK, that’s good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be."

Happy Doctor Who Day, everyone! Please remember that, since it falls on a Sunday this year, tomorrow is a bank holiday.

Imagine if you get to meet God and he allows you one question, which he'll answer completely truthfully... and you waste it asking whether Patrick Troughton really did die in the middle of shagging a fan (possibly in costume, depending who's telling the urban legend).

Just Sophie Aldred being iconic and reading out the quiz results...

A woman just interrupted Beth Axford's panel at this convention to complain about Doctor Who being female. Also something about "that black man."

I just met that random old woman who appeared briefly in The Intergalactic Song Contest and Wish World! No, I've no idea either...

So I guess I'm off to Eastleigh to do Doctor Who things today, then... Do say hello if you see me!

Looking forward to seeing everyone who went to great pains to say how much they abhor political violence "of any kind" when Charlie Kirk was killed stepping forward to condemn Trump's "Punishable by death" comment in the strongest terms.

Any minute now.

Folks, I really need some help. For the last 10-15 days, I've been pretty much out of action, which has put me two weeks behind on promoting my Film Stories 500 show in London next week.

I'd be grateful for any help/support in getting the word out.

Thank you.

Cliff Richard surprised Noel Edmonds on Halloween by turning up in his zombie costume.

...Wait, what do you mean it wasn't Halloween?

Private Eye, Casino Heist, Divorce, Solo Mode... It's nice to have a game that covers all the major phases of a person's life, isn't it?
