Josh Hazlewood has joined up with the Australia squad ahead of the first Ashes Test after initial scans indicated a hamstring problem was not serious.

Fellow pace bowler Sean Abbott, however, has been ruled out of the first Test in Perth, after suffering a moderate grade hamstring injury.

It seemed Eberechi Eze was going to join Tottenham. But before signing anything, he needed to know if there was any chance of making a deal with Arsenal happen.

Timing is everything, and Eze’s couldn’t have been better.
