My friend can’t sign up to access his social security money so he can retire. The SS computer system is not allowing it right now “due to current events” and phone calls to them are saying the same. So I guess that means no one is allowed to retire now?

I'm in banking and I assure you they will be draining all bank accts, 401ks, IRAs (retirement savings gone!) of ordinary citizens, too.
Then, all assets -- property, valuables, etc.
Why is anyone shocked at this point?
