Well, I live in Italy.

On citizens' constitutional rights, immigrants' civil & human rights etc., the mostly Catholic Constitutional Court has been ruling against (self-proclaimed) Catholic prime ministers for decades.

Apparently, the only legal way to abolish constitutional rights is to amend the Constitution in the US as well.

I know but citizens have *constitutional rights* to due process, habeas corpus, fair trial etc. They can't be detained indefinitely because of someone's suspicion.

They have to be convicted and sentenced, just like José Padilla was.

The Army has been - and still is - barred from disappearing citizens since 1878.

No other US president violated so many constitutional rights & freedoms. I've worried friends in the US & really hope other Americans don't think it's just "business as usual".

This isn’t news. People were brutalized his last term, too. There should have been Nuremberg style trials after his last admin, but we only focused on Jan 6. Merrick Garland should be tried for not doing his job as AG for Biden

Afaik until Jan 20, 2025 ICE & CBP weren't sent to attack and arrest random US citizens to "Protect the American People against [an imaginary] Invasion".

The National Guard and the Army weren't deployed in American cities either.
